Saint George Theological Seminary

Statement of Institutional Purpose


St. George Theological Seminary seeks to develop religious leaders and other ministers within the Anglican tradition.  The Seminary will do so through fostering knowledge of our religious heritage, introducing learners to the cultural contexts for ministry, growing all learners in both spiritual depth and moral integrity, and raising capacity for religious leadership within our graduates.


Accreditation and Effectiveness


St. George Theological Seminary is not accredited by any agency recognized by CHEA.  Credits earned are unlikely to transfer to another instituion.  We voluntarily comply with the General Institution Standards, Educational Standards, and Degree Program Standards established by the Association for Theological Schools, but we are not a member of the Association.


Affiliations


St. George Theological Seminary is affiliated with the Episcopal Catholic Church, the American province of the Free Anglican Communion.  More information is available at eccus.org and http://www.anglicanfreecommunion.org.uk/.
